When guys are asked what do you have under the hood some will proudly tell you Caterpillar.
I am sure you have heard the saying “you get what you pay for” CAT is not a cheap brand to work with $50,000 for C15 power is the norm.
Caterpillar stopped making OTR engines for big trucks when the DEF mandate came down from the lawmakers/crooks we sent to Washington in our best interest. For those that do not know Diesel Exhaust Fluid is basically Urine sprayed into the exhaust of the truck. If you do not believe me go take a whiff of some or you can look up its contents.
It seems the engine maker decided to quit making OTR engines instead of adding this to the engine and smearing their good name with a bad design.
Now what you will find amazing is just how many of these engines are still powering trucks a full decade after they stopped putting them in new trucks.
