Do you have freight that requires an RGN?

Writer's picture: Sean McCoySean McCoy

Some clients know they just bought their first machine or oversized object, but they do not know anything about trucking. This is when a client needs to seek out professional advice and have a knowledgeable, experienced, freight broker on their side.

A client can make a couple of mistakes here first and foremost just having a broker that does not know how to handle something can make it cost more. Next if they are not well versed in what it should cost it is easy to be taken advantage of by a carrier once they have figured out the broker does not have a clue.

That difference in price can be thousands of dollars and I have seen it happen to a client who questioned what they were paying for their heavy freight. Everyone wants it done for less and when the price is high the bean counters want to look around for a better value. This was a Super Load and I beat their new guy by more than $2000 in price.
