I had received a phone call from my wife Tereza earlier in the year where she asked, “Can we go to California for Christmas and stay on the beach?” I prefer Southern California weather to Nebraska in December and said certainly.
Tereza and I flew out of Omaha to San Diego and stayed at the Hotel Del Mar on the beach for a week. We had a great time and rented a Camaro that led to the purchase of the wife’s 1LE later this year. The city of Del Mar is just above San Diego on the coast and is a great community that just oozes money everywhere. I saw it as the land of opportunity where I could meet and make friends of wealth and influence.
Cruising the Camaro convertible up and down the coast just fooling around shopping and eating at different places was a great treat for us both.
I could really use another holiday like this one right now. I seem to be on the opposite end of the spectrum now short money, enough good clients, and the willingness to travel anywhere.
I am hoping 2021 will be a better year for everyone.
