Office on the road

Writer's picture: Sean McCoySean McCoy

This was a roadside office near Ocala Florida in early 2019.

I had surgery last year to correct a bunion that was out of control, and it still troubles me today. It seems keeping it elevated is still a requirement periodically. I do have plans to go out on the road again this year. Most importantly to go west back to Utah to visit client's and trucker's I know in the area.

There are some truck shows out west I have not been to as well. I am thinking of the one in Lehi as a possibility later this year.

One problem is flying, and I might just swear off air travel, but it certainly complicates going places. I have gotten busy before out on the road and just had to take care of business preventing me from traveling. That gets expensive being stuck in a nice hotel with a fancy rental sitting in the parking lot. It is even worse if you must repurchase plane tickets.

I have thought of traveling by train it would allow me to stay connected. The last time I traveled by train was London to Paris in 2001.

I like a roadside office now and then they can be nice. Maybe train travel is the answer for the long-haul trips.
