This was the second trip me and Ricardo had been on in less than five months. Both trips were similar in what we were hauling, and its destination. The trip out was going to be different than the trip back even though we needed to back track to Las Vegas. Why did we have to go a different route?
The route from Las Vegas to Cedar City is a three hour ride up I 15 threw three states. On I 15 the bridge that crosses the river had a truck that caught fire on it, and it ruined the structural integrity of the steel in the bridge. It has been out of commission for some time now and traffic is down to one lane in either direction. Oversize loads are not welcome on that stretch of highway and that meant we would have to detour around it after we got loaded at the clients build and repair facility.
