Out on a run part nine– Fixing problems on the road

We had been on the road for several hours, and Ricardo had noticed a problem with the trailer lights.

The next stop was at a Love’s in Las Vegas. I went to go use the toilet and when I came back, Ricardo was busy diagnosing the trailer lights. When the machine returned from working in the eastern U.S. I had a different trucker under it who complained about the lights being twitchy. His truck was an older rig so he thought it might have been on his side. I had told the shop that there might have been a problem with the lights, and they were supposed to look at it, but it must have been missed before we left. Ricardo finished diagnosing the problem, and he found it was a bad taillight. I went into the store and purchased a matching LED light that was on the trailer. It did not fix the problem, so we swapped the light for a regular bulb and fixture and it worked properly.

We headed out and pointed the Peterbilt West to California on the I 15. We were west bound and down loaded up and truckin.
