OVERSIZE LOAD

Since the last time I wrote up one of these I have done a few.

The tallest machine I have ever had on the deck of a truck that was almost fourteen feet tall and ten wide. The trucker I had on this one was a surprise he is the uncle to another guy I work with and definitely a pro. I was happy to have him it made it easier. The biggest problems with this run was the inaccurate information on the machine and the auction house itself. That run was twenty-two hundred miles and took a full week to get there dodging bridges the whole way.

The next load is one of my specialties for a client down south this was a Manitowoc 2250. With five specialty loads and ten under dimensional loads. I will say it is never easy putting this together with multiple specialty trucks and the fact that it all has to be picked and dropped in order can make it challenging to complete. That run was my highest ever quote to a customer at over sixteen hundred miles the rate was close to six figures. Needless to say, but it was too much to seal the deal it would have been a nice payday for me.

The last is there are some super loads that I am looking forward too that are in the Phoenix area with a new client. These are bigger than most I do, and it is a learning curve that is like any thing else you do in life. These are the most complex moves I have ever been involved with including moving in the middle of the night, the need for Police escort, bucket trucks, and pole cars. It sounds entertaining for certain. Now I just have to get the first one done.

More to come..
