OVERSIZED LOAD QUOTE

I have a passion for moving oversized and or heavy freight and I love the challenge.
I do these for clients often that are trying to move a machine from here to there for one of their clients. It is understood that it is possible I will work the job and not be paid for my efforts. But we do this for prized customers as often as they ask because we want the work they have.
Sometimes the equipment is huge and requires a load out plan to know how many and what type trucks are needed for transport.
Putting the trucks together for each one is a challenge. To price it so you can get the needed trucks in short order means you have to spend a few dollars to pull them out of any market. Spending too little means the trucks will not be there or, they will be a problem before it is over. Knowing the difference is only something a knowledgeable, well informed freight broker can pull off.
Heavy loads vary in price from operator to operator some folks feel they are worth more than others and they charge accordingly. Not everyone can pay for that and customers will refuse a quote that seems pricey and seek out another provider. Some operators will bid these bids too low and it becomes obvious to the skilled person that they have no clue what they are getting into. The absolute low bidder is almost never the right choice to move your million-dollar machine.
