The year of 2019 had been very good to me, and I had an agent conference to attend last year at this time.
I like to make an entrance when I feel it is important. I had earned Silver Agent and felt the need to show it a little.
Tereza and I left Omaha after she had gotten off work and that put our arrival time after 10:30pm. I was already not happy when we got the car, I thought I was getting a new mid-engine Corvette. The next thing was the car felt like it had a bad vacuum leak until I realized that was all cam, and compression shaking the car. Last the tire pressure light was on and I went back to the desk to see if we could trade it for another one. The answer was if you want a Corvette, that is the car you will be taking. So, we left with the assumption it was humidity messing with the sensor, according to the guy behind the desk.
This was my first time driving a Corvette, and I was like a kid in a candy store. The time now was close to midnight, I thought I would play a little on the way to the hotel. I proceeded to scare the wife stomping around on the throttle a little to see what the car could do.
