I call him “brother Liam”.
A very unlikely friendship him and I have. When I was first introduced to Liam, he was poised to take my star account. Liam met me while I was in Cedar city for the first time. I had ridden into town with another trucker from out east to meet this client, and that is another story.
It was funny how we just connected, and him being a dedicated Mormon we are definitely different people. We both share a love of big trucks, and all things mechanical. He is also a heavy haul guy, and we look to each other for advice on things of that nature as well.
The picture of his rig has a milk can on. That was last year when he stopped by on his way somewhere to get loaded. He has tried a few different types of freight since I have known him, but he seems to return to flat bedding in some respect.
Liam is in town; he is here helping that same client move equipment from a recently completed job site. I no longer service the client because they took their work inhouse. I went out on a couple of runs to spend some time with my good friend over the weekend.
In all my years I have met very few people of Liam’s caliber. I have much respect for him, and I hope to continue to be friends with Liam for years to come.
